QUICK TIP: Publish in HTML & Text

Be sure to publish both a text version and HTML version of your newsletter. You don’t have to publish HTML if you don’t want to but if you are publishing HTML, you should be broadcasting a text version too.

Most email clients (Outlook, Netscape, etc) allow you to choose whether you want to receive plain text or HTML emails. If you reader has set their preference to plain text and you broadcast in HTML – they either won’t receive your newsletter, or they will receive a version that is unreadable.

Simultaneously broadcasting your newsletter in HTML / text will ensure you reach the most readers.
