I’ve been having a ton of conversations lately about how we can start training AI responsibly— I know, I know… shocking, right? But it’s become the topic for online entrepreneurs right now so it makes sense that I’d be the one that my colleagues and clients turn to for guidance.

As an early adopter of any shiny new tech, I’m always quick to dive in. So when ChatGPT hit the scene in 2022, you bet I was one of the first to start exploring. And I didn’t stop there—my curiosity led me down the AI rabbit hole, and it’s been a wild ride ever since.

We’re in the middle of an AI boom. Every day, there’s a new tool popping up, and even the ones you’re already using are rolling out their own AI features. It’s a lot. And let’s be honest—change can feel like being handed the keys to a spaceship when you’re still learning to ride a bike.

I get it. I’m the first to joke about saying “please” and “thank you” in my prompts, just to stay on the AI Overlords’ good side (hey, you never know!). But instead of fearing it, I’m choosing to lean in.

Here’s the thing: we’re witnessing the *birth* of a game-changing technology. Right now, we have a chance to shape the future of these AI tools and, ultimately, the future of AI itself. But like raising a child, training AI responsibly going to take some serious guidance.

Imagine AI as a toddler. You wouldn’t hand a 2-year-old the car keys, right? It needs our input, our corrections, and—most importantly—our patience.

Now, imagine if instead of teaching manners, you raised a child on a steady diet of gossip and misinformation. Not the best upbringing, right? If we feed AI biased, outdated, or just plain wrong data, it’s going to grow up making all the wrong decisions.

Shaping the Future of AI

But what if we *flip the script* and train AI on data that’s inclusive and accurate? What if we fed it a *balanced diet* of diverse perspectives and real-world solutions? Then, just like a well-raised child, AI could grow into something that actually *helps* reshape our world for the better.

It all comes down to being intentional with what we feed it. Just like you wouldn’t hand a kid an encyclopedia full of errors, we shouldn’t be complacent with AI’s “diet.” We have to step up and be the responsible adults in the room—guiding, correcting, and shaping it so it evolves into a tool that’s more than just a reflection of broken systems.

So, heads up: I’m going to be talking a *lot* more about AI around here. I’m committed to doing my part in training AI responsibly. I don’t know where this journey will lead, but I’m excited to be on the playground.

Stay tuned—it’s going to be a fun ride.

P.S. Curious about the AI behind this post? It was powered by ChatGPT for editing support and SEO Optimiation and Canva with DALL-E for feature image—because training AI responsibly starts with using the right tools.
