I just finished watching another of Eben Pagan’s informative videos on Information Product based businesses. He spoke about the concept of standing on the shoulders of giants and using their age-old concepts as the framework on which you can hang your thoughts & ideas.

Here are some of the books he recommends:

Sigmund Freud: The works of Sigmund Freud, particularly those focusing on the unconscious mind.
Dale Carnegie: How to Win Friends & Influence People which shows you how to make people like you, win people over to your way of thinking, and change people without causing offense or arousing resentment.
Napoleon Hill:Think & Grow Rich that is undoubtedly one of the most referenced books in the field of personal development and abundance. Hill is also cited as the grand daddy of the Mastermind technique so it’s worth checking out his other titles.
Maxwell Maltz: The New Psycho-Cybernetics is a title I’m not familiar with so I will definitely add it to my library.
Earl Nightingale: The Strangest Secret is known for having been the first personal-development audio recording. Another title I’m not familiar with – will look for the audio file at my favorite online store.
Werner Erhard: The works of Wener Erhard which are a little difficult to come by.

Bandler & Grinder: Frogs Into Princes focuses on Neuro-Linguistic Programming which has helped countless people overcome phobias and addictions.
Joseph Campbell: Hero With A Thousand Faces which is a book I read in high-school and the inspiration for George Lucas’ Star Wars

Eben Pagan posits that by mastering the works of the giants of self-help and personal development you are able to create better information products and personal development tools and programs.

Be sure to add these titles to your library if you are interested in creating products and services in the field of self-help and personal development though I’m sure that any online entrepreneur would do well to read a few of these titles.
